Here’s who will headline Glastonbury 2025 (and who else is on the bill)

Wondering what your Glastonbury ticket will get you? Here's who's confirmed to play the festival in 2025

The wait is over. We now know who will top the Pyramid Stage in 2025 – and it’s caused quite the stir. Olivia Rodrigo, Neil Young and The 1975 are the three headline acts for 2025 and as ever, not everyone is happy. But Glastonbury can never win, can they? If they book a bunch of stadium rockers, they get complaints for not being progressive enough. If they go with newbies, the day one ticket-holders can’t hack it. It’s a cliché, but the festival really is about so much more than who’s topping the bill. With over 100 stages and lots more announcements still to come, here’s where the lineup stands so far.

Neil Young

After a rocky start to his Glastonbury announcement, Neil Young has now confirmed that he will be headlining this year’s festival. The first we heard of it was when he announced that he was “pulling out” due to the BBC’s “corporate control” at the event. In a statement released by Young he wrote:  “We were told that BBC was now a partner in Glastonbury and wanted us to do a lot of things in a way we were not interested in,” “It seems Glastonbury is now under corporate control and is not the way I remember it being.” But it seemed like things were smoothed over because within 24 hours, it was all back on. Good to know that throwing a public tizzy sometimes pays off.

After a triumphant early evening slot in 2022, it was certain that Olivia Rodrigo would return to the farm. But just three years later she has bagged a headline slot. Rodrigo now has two albums under her belt – the same as Billie Eilish when she headlined in 2022. She’s just finished her worldwide Guts tour, which saw her fill arenas around the world and despite being a Disney alumni, her fanbase spans young and old. She’s known for bringing out a steady stream of legendary female guests (Natalie Imbruglia, Lily Allen, Chappell Roan…) and she has the big choruses that will be perfect in a festival crowd. Good for you, Olivia, good for you.

Slot: Sunday headliner

The 1975

Matty Healy live at Leeds

Another debut headliner booking, The 1975 are your Friday night main event. There’s no doubt that the band have more than enough hits to fill the slot and have topped the bill at Reading & Leeds several times. After some downtime, Matty Healy seems to be active on Twitter again – currently in a battle with Azealia Banks, seemingly in defence of Charli XCX. He’s been a bit of a controversial character in recent years and their last two albums haven’t had the same critical acclaim as their previous two. That said, their ‘At Their Very Best’ tour was a spectacle and it’s certain they’ll create something special for a Glastonbury headline slot. Will this be Matty’s redemption moment?

Who else is on the Glastonbury lineup?

Charli XCX

If 2024 has belonged to one artist, it’s Charli XCX and we’re thrilled to hear that she’s topping The Other Stage, up against Neil Young in a “turn left if you’re under 50” moment. The concern is that The Other Stage field will become overcrowded, much like when Avril Lavigne played in 2024. To solve this, will Glastonbury pair Charli’s set with another zeitgeisty star. Doechii perhaps? Crossing our fingers that’s not a choice we are forced to make.

Wolf Alice

The perfect festival band, Wolf Alice will cure that itch for a hug-your-friends singalong moment. Last album, 2021’s ‘Blue Weekend‘ saw them level up from indie crowd-pleasers to inventive, headline-worthy guitar band. We’re not only excited that they’re making a live return but perhaps Ellie and the gang will grace us with some new music before June?

Doechii

Our most recent cover star, Doechii has had a phenomenal few months. Owning the stage at the Grammys and making history as only the second woman ever to take home the gong for Best Rap Album, we can’t wait to see what she brings to a Glastonbury set.

After releasing her most personal record yet, the ferocious ‘All Born Screaming‘ in 2025: a bold exploration of life, love and loss, Annie Clark will bring an unfiltered, rock ‘n’ roll energy to Worthy Farm.

Lucy Dacus

With her new album ‘Forever Is A Feeling’ dropping at the end of March, we can’t wait to see Lucy Dacus perform her new tracks down on the farm. It will be the first time she’s returned post boygenius megafame. Will they be surprise guests? Stranger things have happened.
