Doja Cat has shared a new song on her Soundcloud page called ‘Trash Man’, which doesn’t appear to be a serious release.

The star shared the link to the song on Twitter yesterday (March 27) shortly after tweeting: “Many are jealous of my sophisticated sound. Ima pray for you.”

‘Trash Man’ clocks in at just under three minutes long and features a hyper-pop instrumental and some inspired lyrics. “The banker is the cash man/ The photographer’s the flash man/ The barber is the stache man,” she raps.

And the driver is the crash man/ The runner is the dash man/ And the teacher is the class man/ The swimmer is the splash man/ But the trash man is the trash man.” Technically speaking, she’s not wrong – listen to ‘Trash Man’ below now.

Doja Cat is no stranger to releasing unusual songs. She first came to fame in 2018 with the viral song ‘Mooo!’, which memorably saw her rapping: “Bitch I’m a cow/ I’m not a cat/ I don’t saw meow.”

Since then, though, she’s become a legitimate artist, releasing her critically acclaimed album ‘Hot Pink’ in 2019 and achieving viral success without the unique lyrics with TikTok smashes ‘Say So’ and ‘Streets’

At this year’s Grammys, Doja was nominated for Best New Artist and Record Of The Year and Best Pop Solo Performance for ‘Say So’. She didn’t go home with any of the trophies but did perform at the ceremony, dressed as a futuristic robot

Meanwhile, the star has teamed up with a number of big names recently. She joined Megan Thee Stallion on a remix of Ariana Grande’s ‘34+35’, and appeared on Saweetie’s viral hit ‘Best Friend’

Last year, Doja said the follow-up to ‘Hot Pink’ was complete, although a release date for the record has yet to be announced.
