Doja Cat has taken on the silhouette challenge in her new video for ‘Streets’.

The TikTok trend sees users of the video app standing in a doorway while Paul Anka’s ‘Put Your Head On My Shoulder’ plays. When the sound shifts to Doja Cat’s ‘Streets’, they appear backlit by a red light, creating their own silhouettes.

The ‘Streets’ video opens with Doja Cat doing just that – albeit in a shop’s display window, rather than a doorframe.

Later in the visuals, she dances with a group of undead men with diamond grills, and catches the taxi driver imagining all these scenarios in a web, lurching towards him like a giant spider. Watch the video below now.

‘Streets’ appears on the star’s 2019 album ‘Hot Pink’ and is the seventh song on the record to receive a music video.

It’s also not the first song of Doja’s to be part of a viral TikTok trend. ‘Say So’ also blew up on the app, with users sharing videos of them re-enacting a viral choreography to the song’s chorus. Doja Cat later acknowledged the trend, performing the moves herself in the track’s official video.

Since the release of ‘Hot Pink’ in November 2019, the singer and rapper has collaborated with a number of artists. Nicki Minaj worked with her on a new version of ‘Say So’, while Doja appeared on Bebe Rexha’s ‘Baby, I’m Jealous’, Saweetie’s ‘Best Friend’ and a new remix of Ariana Grande’s ‘34+35’ alongside Megan Thee Stallion

Meanwhile, the musician has been working on the follow-up to her second album and said last year it was finished. “It’s all ready,” she said during an Instagram Live in September. “I hate that I’m holding on to it right now. I see everybody is like, ‘Put it out, put it out’, and I’m like, ‘I would’, like, you have to plan things accordingly and there’s a lot going on.”
