In case you missed it, Taylor Swift made her first podcast appearance this week on boyfriend Travis Kelce and his brother Jason Kelce’s football podcast, New Heights. And listeners, she had some ‘New News’! When not sharing cutesy details of her life with Trav or labouring how little she knows about football, she offered up some glorious nuggets for fans to gobble up. Let’s get into it.
She’s dropping a new album
It’s called ‘The Life of a Showgirl’. It’s twelve songs long. It’s out on October 3rd 2025, and she was in “the most infectiously joyful, wild, dramatic place” while making it. The record was made during the Eras Tour with Taylor flying to Sweden to record with producers Max Martin and Shellback on days off between shows.
And, we have a tracklist:
- The Fate of Ophelia
- Elizabeth Taylor
- Opalite
- Father Figure
- Eldest Daughter
- Ruin the Friendship
- Actually Romantic
- Wi$h Li$t
- Wood
- CANCELLED!
- Honey
- The Life of a Showgirl (feat Sabrina Carpenter)
The vinyl is orange – a colour she’s “always liked” – and reportedly suits the vibrancy of the record. It was also the colour of the door she walked through on the final night of the Eras Tour. Cue ‘Taylor Swift Orange’ trending around the world.
Travis says it’s more upbeat and a “complete 180” from last record, ‘Tortured Poet’s Department’.

She is obsessed with sourdough… or is she?
She loves baking it. She reads blogs about it. She makes different flavours. She talks about it for a very long time on this podcast. Her ‘Cinammon Swirl Sourdough’ is her star dish.
Though, is she really baking sourdough? Or is this tricksy little minx dropping one of her famed Easter Eggs. Fans have read between the lines and are convinced that all that bread talk was actually confirmation that she’s playing The Super Bowl Halftime Show in 2026. The next Super Bowl tournament takes place at Levi’s Stadium, home of the San Francisco 49ers and rather conveniently, the team’s mascot is named Sourdough Sam.
At the start of the podcast, Swift made a big deal about Jason Kelce giving her a 47 second intro before talking about her love of numerology. On the Eras Tour, her 47th stop was at Levi’s Stadium – home of Super Bowl 60 in 2026.
She also talked at length about the similarities between her and Travis’ jobs. Could it be, they’ll both have work to do on February 8th?
Her favourite Eras Tour fan project happened in Europe
One of Taylor’s most special Eras Tour moments was when fans coordinated to bring balloons to blow up and illuminate like glowing orbs during the ‘witchy’ performance of ‘Willow’. Watch the fan project come to life below.
Taylor recognises that ‘The Tortured Poet’s Department’ was a tad too long
While Taylor might profess not to read the comments, she did say she welcomes constructive criticism, and many critics felt that TTPD was too long – a fact she seems to have taken on board.
“‘Tortured Poet’s Department’ was like; ‘Here’s a data dump of everything I’ve felt in two or three years,’ Taylor joked when talking about ‘…Showgirl’. ‘This is twelve [tracks]. There’s not a thirteenth, there’s no more songs coming. This is the record I’ve been wanting to make for a very long time.” Later, she expresses a desire to focus on quality over quantity.
She revealed how she bought back her Masters
After a long battle, which saw her re-record her first four albums, Taylor Swift now owns her Masters. She detailed the journey, revealing that rather than sending a team of lawyers to negotiate the deal, she sent her mum and brother, to convey how much it meant to her personally. The sale was a big deal to Swift who admitted to thinking about it every single day before acquiring back her music. On hearing the news, she collapsed on the floor in uncontrollable tears.
