Multi-disciplinary French artist and former Savages frontperson Jehnny Beth has teamed up with Faith No More’s Mike Patton on new single, ‘Look At Me’, which explores the idea of sharing subjective opinions as objective truths.

Beth reveals the meaning behind the song, saying “it’s about the modern sellers of truth, who share their opinion online on how to ‘better oneself’, giving an illusion of control — but all they really want is to be the centre of attention.”

Beth describes it as a ‘a song in two parts’, which Patton was the perfect addition to. The Faith No More and Mr. Bungle member served as a major inspiration to Beth’s 2025 album, ‘You Heartbreaker, You’.

Alongside the new single, the pair star in a music video inspired by the 1976 Martin Scorsese film Taxi Driver. In it, a vampiric Jehnny Beth is seen topless on a beach, in a fiery coffin and snogging a revolving door of friends.

Speaking about the video, Beth says “I represent De Niro’s character who embodies this lonely outcast who doesn’t have a place in the world. Mike is the preacher who changes my outlook on the world, and our two characters merge together towards the end.”

Following this latest release, Beth will set out on a tour around Europe and support Deftones in Mexico City at the end of the month. Get tickets now.
