Olivia Rodrigo is back, with her much-anticipated third album ‘You Seem Pretty Sad For a Girl So In Love’.

Partnering for a third time with Dan Nigro on production duties, the record is due to be released on June 12 2026.

Fans were prepped that something was on the way when an LA wall on Melrose Avenue – painted in Rodrigo’s signature shade of purple and tagged with her initials – was slowly turned pink over the course of a few days, eventually revealing the album title. Watch an interview with the artist who painted the wall below.

In a Vogue interview, earlier this year, it was revealed that Rodrigo’s new album will be largely comprised of love songs, but ones that run the full gamut from obsession to soppy stuff, to the realisation that “love won’t fix you”.

We’re yet to hear a single, but sonically – according to the Vogue journalist who was privy to an early listen – there will be ‘soft rock’ and at least one track that leans in a dancier direction than Rodrigo has ventured before.

As for a colour theme, it seems like this one is going to be pretty in pink with the wall, press photo and album cover hinting at Liv’s new hue.
