Earlier this week, Lady Gaga offered a huge reward to anyone who could return her dogs after her dog walker was shot and two of her bulldogs stolen in LA.

The good news is that the dogs have now been recovered and the dog walker, Ryan Fischer, though still in hospital, is expected to make a full recovery, family have confirmed.

It’s not clear exactly who returned the dogs. The Associated Press said a woman had brought them to the Olympic Community Police Station in LA and the singer’s representatives had confirmed they were hers. The woman appeared to be “uninvolved and unassociated” with the robbery, a police spokesman said.

Lady Gaga had offered $500,000 (£359,000) for their safe return no information has been released as to whether the reward has been claimed.

The singer is currently in Rome working on Ridley Scott’s upcoming film Gucci, about the 1995 assassination of Maurizio Gucci.

The bulldogs, Koji and Gustav, were stolen on Wednesday (February 24) when her dog-walker was shot by a suspect carrying a semi-automatic handgun.

The star’s third bulldog, Miss Asia, ran away and was later recovered by police.

Footage of the incident was shared by TMZ and showed a white Sedan pulling up next to the dog-walker, who has been identified as Ryan Fischer, with two men in dark clothing getting out of the vehicle.

The video, which was captured by a doorbell camera on a neighbouring home, picked up one of the men saying, “Give it up” and, later, Fischer calling out for help, saying he had been shot.

Fischer is believed to have been taking care of Gaga’s dogs while she is out of the country.

Commenting on the theft, Gaga said: “I continue to love you Ryan Fischer, you risked your life to fight for our family. You’re forever a hero,” via Instagram.

According to Brandi Hunter, spokesperson for the American Kennel Club, French bulldogs are often the targets of thieves because of how expensive and difficult to breed they are.

Gaga reportedly set up an email address for anyone with information to contact. Those with tips on the case can email [email protected]
