Biig Piig, Lava La Rue and friends to play Gaza Aid charity show

100% of proceeds will go to refugee charity, Choose Love.

Members of NiNE8 Collective including Biig Piig and Lava La Rue have announced a London gig to raise money for the people of Gaza.

The show, which will take place at Village Underground on February 4 2024 will also feature performances from Yuné Pinku, Maverick Sabre, Kojaque and a DJ set from Mac Wetha. All proceeds from ticket sales and merch sold on the night will go to refugee charity, Choose Love, who are directly supporting emergency response work in Gaza.

Biig Piig comments: “The humanitarian Crisis in Gaza is one of the most horrific I’ve seen in my lifetime. There have been so many lives destroyed and dreams taken from innocent people. I wanted to hold an event to support the people that have been affected and to spread awareness to what’s happening in real time.”

Commenting on their decision to stage GAZA AID, this community of young artists write: “It is our mission to raise funds to support Choose Love’s efforts to get urgent humanitarian aid to the more than 2 million people trapped inside Gaza. We are devastated by the ongoing suffering and are doing everything we can to support civilians affected by this crisis. Thanks to all the contributing artists and their teams, to Metropolis for pulling it together, to Village Underground for hosting, to Choose Love for their all efforts and for the extended humanitarian work that they do across the Globe, and thank you to all ticket buyers and donors, we can’t wait to see you at what will be a special night.”

Emma Stevenson, Deputy CEO of Choose Love, said: We’re so grateful to Biig Piig choosing love and helping us get essential aid to the 2+million people trapped inside Gaza. It’s unbearable to witness the devastation and suffering of so many people. But by Choosing Love there is always something we can do when we come together. Biig Piig and everyone who attends the event on February 4th will be making a huge difference.”

Tickets for GAZA AID are available now (£25, no booking fee) with doors open at 6.30PM and the event starting at 7PM.
