Better than a browse through #vantok: Jenny Lewis has just released the video for her previously released ode to life on the road: ‘Puppy and a Truck’.
The video is the perfect marker of the former Rilo Kiley frontperson’s new era: one that celebrates life in her forties as an artist with “no kids” and “no roots”.
The video was filmed, in part, while on tour with Harry Styles as his opening act for the Love On Tour shows across North America.
“To be on a giant stage in front of thousands of people after such a long period of isolation, those 45 minutes on stage and meeting Harry’s fans–it brought me back to life,” Jenny said of the experience. “I was just trying to stay present and in the moment, so grateful to be able to share my life experiences, my songs, with such a diverse audience. With no cynicism or irony, just gratitude to be with people and fans and to be able to express it outwardly to them.”
Jenny Lewis is also embarking on her own headline tour this July, in addition to stops on the upcoming 20th anniversary Postal Service and Death Cab for Cutie co-headline tour as well as supporting dates for the upcoming Beck and Phoenix co-headline Summer Odyssey Tour.
The headline dates in July feature special guests Cass McCombs, Jenny O. and Hayden Pedigo and are on sale Friday, March 10 beginning at 10am local time.
