Brighton’s The Great Escape Festival – the annual new music showcase that takes over the seaside city – is going online for 2021 and you can watch the performances for free!
We are thrilled to be part of this year’s event. After a year when new music discovery has been limited to recommendations from friends and playlists, an event that celebrates emerging talent is so welcome.
Playing our showcase on Thursday 13 May 2021 are two artists we can’t get enough of here at The Forty-Five: Remi Wolf and Priya Ragu.
Priya Ragu was part of our Future Five for 2021: five artists that were set to have a big year.
Remi Wolf has just dropped a star-studded remix album of her most recent EP ‘We Love Dogs!’ which includes collaborations with Beck, Hot Chip, Dominic Fike and Sylvan Esso to name but a few.
Both musicians represent a new era of pop talent: artists that may not fit in traditional industry boxes, but have blown us away with their catchy hooks and fresh takes on the genre.
