Mitski: The Land is set to take to cinemas worldwide from October 22, as announced by distributor Trafalgar Releasing. The feature-length concert film promises to offer all the spectacular sights and sounds of a live Mitski show.
Self-produced by Mitski with Moniker Films and directed by Grant James, the theatrical release of the land aims to bring the singer-songwriter’s unique, stylistic performance style to life with the magic of cinema.
The film is assembled from footage recorded over Mitski’s three performances at Atlanta’s Fox Theatre in September 2024. Her dreamy, haunting presence will be spotlighted with a seven-piece backing band and a minimalist, stripped-back stage set-up designed by Andi Watson.
Expect to soak up the drama and intensity of Mitski’s best-loved ballads including ‘My Love Mine All Mine,’ ‘Nobody,’ and ‘I Bet on Losing Dogs,’ as well as some lesser-known track’s from her groundbreaking 2023 album ‘The Land is Inhospitable and So Are We.’
Tickets will be available to purchase from September 15 at mitskifilm.com. Fans can sign up at the site in advance for further details on locations and showtimes.
