The landmark Californian music festival is warming up for its 28th year – here is everything we know so far about Coachella 2026.

When and where will the festival be held?

Coachella is set to take over its usual home, Empire Polo Club in Indio, over two consecutive weekends in April: 10-12th, and 17-19th. The Friday, Saturday and Sunday line-ups from the first weekend will be repeated on their respective days for the second.

As usual, Coachella has rounded up three of the biggest names in pop to headline each of its nights: Sabrina Carpenter (Friday), Justin Bieber (Saturday), and Karol G (Sunday). Sabrina Carpenter has strayed true to her Nonsense-outro promise when she said in 2024, “See you back here when I headline”

Who else is on the line-up?

Each year, Coachella promises a mixed bag of the world’s premier musicians, spanning a multitude of genres and cultures. Highlights from the pop world on this year’s agenda include CMAT, PinkPantheress, and Laufey. FKA Twigs will turn up the electronic dance vibes, while Wet Leg and Lambrini Girls have got guitar rock covered. Big names in hip-hop and R&B such as Sexyy Red and Little Simz, will also take to the Coachella Valley, as well as up-and-comers NewDad, Die Spitz, and flowerovlove.

What are the accommodation options?

The festival takes place in the Coachella Valley, deep in California’s Colorado Desert, where daytime temperatures often soar above 30°C. For seasoned festival-goers willing to brave the heat, Coachella offers car, van and tent camping in varying degrees of comfort. ‘Ready-set’ tents were introduced in 2025, complete with bedding and mattresses for those seeking a little more ease. All camping passes must be purchased in advance.

Alternatively, many attendees opt for the comfort of a hotel or apartment in nearby resort city Palm Springs, where the festival’s closest airport is located. Coaches run to Palm Springs from the festival each night and will drop off at the city’s major hotels.

How much do Coachella tickets cost?

General weekend passes for Coachella 2026 are priced at $649 for weekend 1 and $549 for weekend 2, via official ticket partner AXS. No day tickets are offered; all attendees must purchase full weekend passes. Tickets are currently sold out, but hopefuls can join the waitlist.

Camping passes must be purchased on top of the entry ticket. Options start from $40 per night, while the most upmarket Safari Cabana offering costs upwards of $10,000. Personalised hotel packages can also be arranged on request here.

What transport options are in place?

An extensive shuttle bus network is provided over both weekends to transport attendees to and from the festival site. It covers many stops across the Coachella Valley, including direct pick-up and drop-off at several major hotels. Shuttle passes grant purchasers unlimited travel across the network. They can be booked in advance, either as part of an entry package or individually. While the shuttle service is a convenient and eco-friendly way to travel to the festival, it comes at a staggering cost of $140 per person. Alternative public bus services provided by Greyhound, Sunline, and Amtrak may be more budget-friendly.

Those looking for a more luxurious travel experience can book a private black cab or limo service, which are priced between $799 and $1299. These vehicles can hold between 10 and 35 passengers, so they surprisingly may work out as a cheaper option for large groups.

Other environmentally friendly modes of transport such as walking, cycling, and ridesharing, are encouraged. Charging points are located both onsite and around the festival for those arriving in electric vehices.

Festival-goers coming from further afield will want to fly into Palm Springs Airport or LAX, with shuttle buses on offer from both cities. The LAX bus service is not a part of the main shuttle network, and a separate pass is required.

What does the festival site look like?

Coachella is a relatively small festival, especially in comparison to its British counterpart Glastonbury – but it packs in eight stages of music, as well as hordes of food outlets, brand pop-ups, VIP areas, fairground rides, and an official Coachella store.

Bars are located around the site, but the consumption of alcohol is restricted to certain areas away from the stages, which may come as a surprise to those accustomed to British festivals.

The 2026 map is yet to be released, but last year’s map can be found here.
