Just when you thought you couldn’t love Olivia Rodrigo enough, she just announced the launch of her very own music festival, Daisy Chain Fields, in Irvine, California this August 29 – with proceeds going to women’s charities.

The festival features a killer all-female lineup – and it might be the most perfect bill we’ve ever seen. A combination of legacy acts such as Bikini Kill and Breeders will join emerging talent Die Spitz and Quiet Light and some of the hugest pop artists on the planet – including Chappell Roan, Katseye and Rodrigo herself.

Special guests are casually listed as Karen O, Sarah McLaughlan and the one and only Stevie Nicks.

Rodrigo has long been a supporter of womens’ rights. Following her vocal dissent in the immediate aftermath of the 2022 Roe Vs. Wade ruling in the US, Rodrigo established the ‘Fund For Good’, which directs a share of all North American ticket proceeds to the National Network of Abortion Funds (NNAF). In every city, she partnered with a local NGO to provide educational resources around reproductive healthcare and abortion, supplying condoms, helpline contacts and even Plan B ‘morning after’ pills at shows.

“Daisy Chain Fields is built on the belief that joy, community, and creativity can inspire meaningful change,” says Rodrigo. “I’m so excited to celebrate this incredible lineup of women, and I’m grateful to all of our partners in helping us make this festival come to life. By bringing together women in music and organisations helping shape a better future for women and girls, I hope we can build a community that inspires hope and positive change.”

Others, take note. This is how you be a popstar.
