Taylor Swift – ‘Snow on the Beach’
The world obviously went into meltdown when news hit of a brand-new Taylor Swift album – even more so when the track listing was released. ‘Snow On The Beach’, features Lana Del Rey and it’s exactly what you’d expect from a collaboration between two artists who are at the top of their game in their respective corners of the pop world.
Witch Fever – ‘At The Core’
Mancunian doom punks Witch Fever channel their inner Riot grrrl in their fight for inclusivity and autonomy. The final single from their debut album ‘Congregation’ is reminiscent of Fugazi in its dynamism, yet still true to their core sound. It’s explorative, and showcases exactly why they’re one of the most exciting live bands at the moment.

Kimbra – ‘Save Me’
Kimbra has always flirted with the kind of eclectic avant-pop that Björk has made her signature over the years. Juxtaposing delicate synthesised verses with swelling string choruses, it’s incredibly emotive. Deeply vulnerable and contemplative lyrics are about succumbing to weakness and admitting that in your darkest moments, it’s ok to ask for help.
