It’s time for Reading and Leeds 2025, the annual “I’ve got my exam results and I’m going to celebrate/commiserate” rite of passage. While the dual-location weekender still has a lot of room for improvement towards gender equality, we’ve picked out five incredible female and non-binary acts you will not want to miss.
The Linda Lindas

Hailing from Los Angeles, the almighty post-punk four-piece were aged between eight and 14 when they burst onto the scene, exhibiting prodigal talent rooted in 2000s college rock. Eight years down the line, their playful but bold output has scored them supporting slots for The Rolling Stones and Green Day, a nomination at the 2022 Kerrang! Awards and, most recently, a spot on the soundtrack for Freakier Friday.
