Alt-folk artist Paris Paloma announced the release of upcoming new single ‘Good Boy’ with a cameo from legendary British actor Emma Thompson.
The announcement was made yesterday via Instagram Reels, with Thompson quoting feminist writer Rebecca Shaw:
“I knew that one day I’d have to watch powerful men burn the world down – I just didn’t expect them to be such losers.”
Complete with air quotations around the phrase “powerful men” and subsequent laughter from Paloma herself, the recording will serve as a spoken-word intro for the new track, releasing on September 19.
Paris Paloma’s short film, The Space Between Claps, premiered yesterday on YouTube. Directed by friend of The Forty-Five, Phoebe Fox, the seven-minute film takes the form of a monologue over a montage of performance footage. Paloma details the joys and struggles she has experienced as a touring artist since her breakout viral hit ‘Labour’ skyrocketed her into the public eye last year. The film candidly explores mental health struggles and challenges the romanticisation of life on tour.
Paloma is set to tour the UK and Europe again in 2026 as a special guest on Florence + The Machine’s Everybody Scream tour. She will perform on the following dates:
