Hayley Williams has said that she is ready to work on the next Paramore record.
Following the release of surprise solo album ‘FLOWERS for VASES / descansos’, which dropped earlier this month, the singer-songwriter has been answering questions from fans online in a series of Twitter Q&A sessions.
When asked if she has unused songs from the aforementioned ‘FLOWERS for VASES / descansos’ and its predecessor, 2020’s ‘Petals For Armor’, and whether she’d consider using them for Paramore, she wrote: “There are more songs, yeah. But I’m not planning on another solo album. And I’m not sure if they’d be great for Paramore. I’m ready for the next Paramore album. Let’s go.”
In response to another question, where a fan asked about Williams’ future involvement in the “instrumental writing process” of the next Paramore album, she said: “I wouldn’t say I’ve been un-involved up till now but the thing is we grew up playing together and learning (and the re-learning) how to write together. They are my favorite musicians in the world. I’m excited to see how our writing together grows for this next project.”
In January, Williams confirmed to fans that the American band aren’t breaking up anytime soon. Replying to a concerned follower’s tweet, she said: “Lol y’all been worried about that too long. Ain’t happening.”
Paramore’s last full-length effort arrived in the form of 2017’s ‘After Laughter’. They have released five albums to date since their debut, 2005’s ‘All We Know Is Falling’.
