This weekend’s Saturday Night Live was one to remember. Hosted for the first time by Kim Kardashian-West who delivered a savage opening monologue, mocking herself and her entire extended family, the variety television show also boasted Halsey as the week’s musical guest.

Performing three songs from new album ‘If I Can’t Have Love, I Want Power‘, Halsey and Fleetwood Mac’s Lindsay Buckingham teamed up for a rendition of ‘Darling’. Watch it at the top of the page.

The country-tinged sad song, saw Buckingham play along to Halsey’s exquisite vocal on acoustic guitar and join them on vocals for the final chorus, something he also does on Halsey’s album.

Halsey’s recent record has received much critical acclaim. The Forty-Five‘s Rhian Daly gave the Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross-produced album 4.5 stars, calling the album, which documents pregnancy and new motherhood, “a stunning portrait of a pivotal moment in life that’s thought-provoking, anthemic and totally electric.”

Halsey has also released a film of the same name to accompany ‘If I Can’t Have Love, I Want Power’ which is available to watch via HBO Max. The synopsis reads: “Set to the music of Halsey’s fourth studio album, this one-of-a-kind film experience stars the two-time GRAMMY nominee as the young and pregnant Queen Lila. After a shocking event, Lila unlocks a paranormal power within and discovers her ability to create life (and end it).”
