A video has shown Quavo and Saweetie getting into a physical altercation in a lift, which reportedly occurred last year.
The Migos rapper and solo star were previously in a relationship together but confirmed their split earlier this month.
The video, taken from a lift’s CCTV camera, shows Saweetie hitting Quavo before grabbing an small orange case. Quavo then pushes her into the lift and grabs the case from her, pushing her to the ground.
The rapper and songwriter remains on the floor of the lift for the whole time the couple are in it, not standing up when the doors open and a person appears to want to get in. The video ends with Quavo holding the lift door open for Saweetie as she pulls herself up and exits.
The video was reportedly filmed in the lift of Saweetie’s apartment complex in North Hollywood, Los Angeles.
The pair dated for over two years but, on March 19, Saweetie confirmed the relationship was over. “I’m single,” she tweeted. “I’ve endured too much betrayal and hurt behind the scenes for a false narrative to be circulating that degrades my character.
“Presents don’t band aid scars and the love isn’t real when the intimacy is given to other women.”
In a second tweet, she added: “I emotionally checked out a long time ago and have walked away with a deep sense of peace and freedom. Excited for this new chapter of elevation.”
Quavo later responded on his own Twitter account, writing: “I had love for you and disappointed you did all that. You are not the woman I thought you were. I wish you nothing but the best.”
The pair first got together after Quavo slid into Saweetie’s DMs, telling her: “You an icy girl, you need a glacier boy.”
