FKA twigs has teased new music coming this week in a new Instagram post.

The ‘Sad Day’ singer revealed in an interview last year that she had almost finished work on a new album – the follow-up to 2019’s stunning ‘Magdalene’ – which she worked on remotely with producer, El Guincho, during Britain’s first coronavirus lockdown.

Last week it was announced that Twigs – real name, Tahliah Debrett Barnett – would appear as a guest on Louis Theroux’s popular Grounded podcast tomorrow (Jan 25 2021).

The podcast, which has featured diverse guests such as KSI, Rylan Clark, Miriam Margolyes and Riz Ahmed, is a weekly in-depth chat between documentarian Louis Theroux and an interviewee of his choice. Born of lockdown, Louis Theroux has been using the time inside to catch up with the people he’s always wanted to interview.

Twigs – AKA Tahliah Debrett Barnett – recently filed a lawsuit against former boyfriend Shia LaBoeuf in which she accused him of subjecting her to physical, emotional and mental abuse during their time together. “I’d like to be able to raise awareness on the tactics that abusers use to control you and take away your agency,” she told the New York Times.

Fans will be excited to hear what’s next from Twigs an hopefully glean some information about her upcoming third album.

FKA Twigs’ episode of Grounded will be released next Monday on BBC Sounds, or wherever you get your podcasts. Watch this space for news on FKA Twigs’ new release.
